NUS BIATHLON 2012- Beyond your Limits!

Wave 1- 630am
Wave 2- 650am
Wave 3- 710am
Wave 4- 735am
Wave 5- 800am
Wave 6- 825am

Please arrive 45 min before your wave!
We will not provide number tag belts thus, if you are not intending to wear a singlet over your swim wear will running(although we highly recommend that you do), please bring your own number tag belt.
Sequence of events:
1. When you arrive at least 45min before the start of your wave, please report to the registration area. Invitational teams should register as a team. Mixed relay teams should register as pairs. You will be given your number tag, and event booklet at this point. Remember to bring your indemnity forms and swimming ability forms if you have not done so.
2. Proceed to pool area 30 min before your start time with your swim gear and transition items (i.e. shoes, towel, singlet, number tag belt and tag number)
3. Wait for announcement to call for your wave number to place your items into the transition box and for a safety and route briefing. (while waiting, participants can warm up in the small pool.
4. Start of swim and run.
5. Goodie bags and finisher t-shirts will be given out when you collect your baggage with your number tag. Wait for the prize presentation and Lucky Draw which will start at 1130am to be held at the swimming pool.
Indemnity form/Declaration form
Participants are to print out and submit (on the event day itself) the indemnity form and swimming ability form if you have not done so.
Event day Registration and baggage deposit/collection
Participant should register 45 minutes before your wave timing.
Your wave will be confirmed via email after registration.
Baggage will be deposited according to your tag number.You can collect your baggage with your bib after you have completed the race.
Race Route and Format
For invitation and open category, participants swim 800m in the pool (ie: 16 laps). A card will be placed in the water to indicate final lap. Participants exit the pool and head to transition area where their running shoes and shirts are placed in demarcated squares. Goggles and swim caps will be collected by volunteers and placed in individualized ziplog bags and are to be collected at the baggage area. Participants then will begin a 5km run loop through Kent Ridge Campus and back to the Sports & Recreation Center.For novice category, participants swim 400m in the pool followed by a 3km run around Kent Ridge Campus.For mixed relay category, first member will swim 400m and another member will run 3km.For NUS Biathlon Sprint, participants swim 200m in the pool followed by a 1km run around Kent Ridge Campus.
